In Self Defense: The Maddox Case- Response Time
Stephen Maddox talks about the response time he experienced from CCW Safe. Maddox was charged with Murder I after defending himself 3 times from a bigger, stronger attacker in 2015. In July of 2017, Stephen was found not guilty after a two week trial.
Stephen talks about how the day after the shooting, he had 2 attorneys visit him in jail. It was a Sunday and the two attorneys, Tartt Thomas and Kurt Schmidt, had been found and hired by CCW Safe’s National Trial Counsel, Don West. The two attorneys immediately started working on Stephen’s defense.
Stephen also talks about the Critical Response Team, which was on the ground in Wilson, NC the day after his shooting. The critical response team provides support to not only members, but also to their families. They can relate, because they have been there, and have experienced what he was about to go through. In Stephen’s case, they were able to explain to his family what would happen next, and the process they would be facing, and most importantly, that it was not going to cost Stephen a thing, as he was a CCW Safe member.
When it comes to looking at a viable self defense plan for the aftermath, it’s not just about the money that you could save on attorneys fees. There’s a lot more involved. Because CCW Safe has real world experience, we are able to deliver real world support for the entire case.
